Plant-based news – November 2025

November brought another wave of exciting plant-based launches – from major rollouts in Asia to innovative products across Europe and the US. Here’s a roundup of 10 headlines you shouldn’t miss if you’re part of the plant-based food industry or follow its growth:

1. One Planet Pizza lands in Thailand: Joe Hill from One Planet Pizza announced the brand’s launch in 60 Tops stores across Thailand. A huge step into a market worth 45 billion baht (over £1 billion), where over 75% of the population is lactose intolerant. Their debut products? Korean BBQ Chick*n and Three Cheese Margherita pizzettas.

2. Good Calories unveils two new hits in Lidl Poland: New plant-based beef-style roulade with mushroom filling and pea-protein hot dogs are now available at Lidl. Quick, hearty, and flavourful, these additions show how Dobra Kaloria blends convenience with great taste. Pro tip: don’t boil the hot dog – just heat it for 2 minutes in hot water!

3. Vly launches ‘vly Leicht’ – a light milk alternative: Nicolas Hartmann introduced a new pea and almond-based drink with just 13 kcal per 100 ml, 0% fat, and over 70% lower carbon footprint. Already available at Rewe and online.

4. ACCRO debuts croques and spicy wings: The French plant-based brand adds two indulgent options: crispy croques filled with melty vegan cheese and spicy wings – ready in minutes, perfect for lunch or dinner.

5. THIS™ wins big at The Grocer Awards 2025: Mark Cuddigan proudly shared that the THIS™ Super Superfood Super Block won Champion in the Free From & Plant-Based (Savoury) category. A win for bold flavour, great texture, and top-notch nutrition.

6. Oatly goes RTD with iced coffee drinks in the UK: The new Barista Iced Flat White and Iced Caramel Macchiato are made with Oatly’s signature oat base and Arabica coffee. A must-try for coffee lovers looking for a chilled, dairy-free option.

7. LILO launches 4-pack dessert minis: Known for its plant-based cheesecakes, LILO steps into a new segment with 4x60g multipacks – available in both vegan and dairy formats. A smart move towards greater flexibility and family appeal.

8. Kate Farms hits Walmart shelves across the US: Kate Farms’ high-protein, ready-to-drink nutrition shakes are now available at select Walmart stores. A clinically designed formula, ideal for people experiencing reduced appetite, weight loss, or muscle loss – especially those using GLP-1s.

9. Never Better Foods expands retail formats: Douglas Kantner announced the launch of 8 oz retail cups for their dairy-free sour cream and cream cheese. The new format joins their existing food-service and stick-pack options – offering more choice for distributors, retailers, and end customers.

November was a month of movement, awards, and global expansion. From frozen pizza in Thailand to high-protein shakes at Walmart, the plant-based space continues to accelerate. Which launch caught your eye? Let us know in the comments!
